What is a stone leaf?

Stone leaf is a thin layer of natural stone that is peeled off from its massive block. The idea is to take advantage of the natural cleavage faculty of shales and slates to separate thin layers of their original block. For this we glue a layer of fiberglass with resin which creates a solid, thin and flexible composite. This stone-fiber-resin composite is then torn off. Our registered trademark is Flexi Pierre , we have filed the patent described here, on the innovation page.

The stone leaf thus makes it possible to reduce the consumption of raw material and the weight to be transported. Reduction in the volume of material used, therefore lower environmental impact. Low weight, therefore, transport cost. Logistics and handling are made easier. The implementation is easier with cutting and quick installation. In the end, you get a natural stone laid at a reduced cost and time. You can use the stone without the constraints of the massif. Low thickness and therefore easy to cut, therefore accessible to all.
